Michal Rinott

Founding Director

Michal is an Interaction designer, researcher and educator. Since 2015 she is a Senior Lecturer in the Shenkar college of Engineering, Design and Art, and the founding director of the Kadar Design and Technology Center, Shenkar. 

Michal is a pioneer in Israel’s Interaction Design scene, and designed the user experience for numerous products in the High Tech industry since the mid 1990’s. Her interaction design work has been presented in international exhibitions and conferences, among others the V&A museum in London and the Computer Human Interaction (CHI) conference. From 2017 she is a member of the committee on “Adapting Curricula and Study Materials for the 21st Century”, as part of the Israeli Academy of Science’s Initiative for Applied Education Research and the leader of the Van Leer Institute research group on “The Moral Life of Objects”.

Michal is an active member of the steering commitee of the IsraHCI confenence, an Academic commitee member of the TEI conference and a reviewer in a number of different publications.
